Pelican Place is an exquisitely presented private sanctuary with uninterrupted views across the Derwent River to iconic MONA, Mount Direction and beyond.
This home is supremely private and nestled within lush manicured grounds. Enjoy glorious sunrises over the river, and watching myriad birdlife including pelicans, black swans and wading white herons in their natural river habitat.
Pelican Place has three spacious bedrooms and two luxurious bathrooms. The main bedroom features a king bed plus an ensuite with shower and toilet. The additional two bedrooms with queen beds are serviced by a gorgeous large two-way bathroom with a separate shower, bath tub and toilet.
The huge open plan living and dining area with polished timber floors is complemented by a beautiful kitchen, where a wide servery window frames the ever-changing vista. Stacking bifold doors open wide to a covered deck complete with bbq, lounge area, dining area & outdoor spa, the ideal venue for relaxing the hours away with a glass of bubbly and that fabulous MONA outlook.
It's a short leisurely stroll to the famous MONA for art, drinks and a bite to eat. Choose from its two restaurants, one wine bar, cellar door and cocktail/pizza bar. For something different, try delicious meals at one of the nearby local hotels, a short walk from the house.
The Mona Ferry is a fun way to travel into the city. The catamarans depart MONA hourly and return every half hour from Brooke St Pier in the city, Thursday-Monday between 9:15am-5pm (times may vary throughout the seasons.)
Another fun way to travel to and from the city is via the intercity Cycleway, which is a picturesque half hour bike ride from Pelican Place. Enjoy the Botanical gardens on the way and the Moonah arts centre where there are plenty of great cafes to choose from or stop for a meal at beautiful Cornelian Bay. Bikes can be hired from Brooke Street on the waterfront.
Pelican Place is conveniently positioned with local shopping close by in Claremont and major retail options at Northgate both just 5 minutes' drive from the house. Secure off-street parking is provided for two cars.
